make your iPhone “old school”…

Turn your iPhone into a desktop handset with The iPhone Desktop Handset availble from Hammacher Schlemmer.

This is the stand that transforms an iPhone into a more comfortable desktop handset phone. With the handset in one hand, the other can navigate an iPhone’s applications, such as calendars, e-mail, and the Internet. The headset plugs into an iPhone’s headphones jack; the iPhone can charge from a computer or wall outlet via your USB charging cable and adapter while the headset is powered by your iPhone’s battery. The anodized aluminum stand places an iPhone at a convenient angle and stays secure on a desktop using four non-slip silicone pads. The platform accommodates an iPhone vertically or horizontally, with or without a protective case.

Seconds Apart

seriously, i cannot wait for this movie.  it looks incredible.  just the art and style alone captured my attention:

Plot quote from

“If your a fan of horror movies then this is the movie for you, it’s about twins Seth and Jonah who share an evil murderous kinship, even though they come from a privileged lifestyle. Damned from the moment of their births, the brothers possess a gruesome talent for telekinesis – a power they use in the most horrific ways imaginable. As fellow students find to their cost. Can they be stopped? we shall see.”

some people like Facebook waaaaay too much…

Rapper T-Pain went through the pain of getting this tattoo…GeekSugar reports:

T-Pain took to Twitter to announce his newest tattoo, a prominent depiction of the Facebook Like button. “I think this ones pretty sweet, unless Facebook shuts down soon,” he said, displaying a photo of the tattoo, which reads “You don’t have to Like me.”

T-Pain is no stranger to tech, with his I Am T-Pain app and brand-new I Am T-Pain Mic, which promises to take the app to the next level.

Batman in the kitchen

i am always looking for more ways to incorporate my favorite nerd things into my every day life!  with that being said, i found this online today and…

i want one of these STAT!!!  Bethany Sew-&-Sew makes incredibly nerd-tastic aprons for the uber geek gal:

Bat Girl: This apron features a “utility belt” with a pocket on one side and loops on the other for holding kitchen utensils.  There are also two black pockets on the skirt.

she has other character’s if you are not down with the Dark Knight!

pretzel & jalapeno mustard baked chicken

first and foremost, i am not necessary the best “recipe” gal because i don’t usually write down whatever i come up with. 🙂  but, i can definitely link to things that give me inspiration and tell you what I did differently and such.
tonight, i made the following: pretzel & jalapeno mustard baked chicken, asparagus, and parmesan mashed sweet potatoes.
i love Fitness Magazine and found my inspiration in one of there comfort food made healthy articles.
BUT…i didn’t want to use eggs.  so i found another recipe that utilized yogurt.  then, i decided to do the following:

i combined about 2/3 of nonfat plain yogurt single container, 3 heaping tablespoons of spicy grain mustard (see this picture, wonderfully delicious mustard i got at Whole Foods Market), a little dijon mustard, and a tablespoon of olive oil.  i dipped the chicken in that mixture, then coated it in crushed pretzels.  next I baked them at 400 degrees for about 23 minutes.
while they were baking, i nuked 2 HUGE sweet potatoes in the microwave for 8 minutes.  after removing the skin, i heated up a tablespoon of butter, toss in the potatoes, and added about 1/4 of the leftover plain yogurt.  next i added about 3 tablespoons of freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
lastly, i steamed the asparagus in the microwave then added salt, pepper, and lemon.
WAAAALAAA!!! dinner tonight, healthy and super delicious. 🙂
